This is a heavy unit - not real wood but nice finish. Took my handy husband quite awhile to put it together but he wasn't complaining as it wasn't that difficult. I wouldn't want to use this desk as a computer desk since it is narrow, however, it's a great writing desk or makeup table (which is what I bought it for). My previous makeup table had very shallow drawer space and no shelving on top. This desk has adequate drawer space which allowed me to clean up the surface area so it looks much neater. The top has little storage areas to keep things organized. Very happy with purchase. Seller kept in touch when there was a delay in the shipment (which ended up being a delay of only a week). Very happy with purchase.This table went together quite easily. The instructions were fine. The materials are what was expected for manufactured wood. For the price it was what I expected.My problem is the measurements. The one measurement I needed to be right was not. It said on the left side of the desk that it was 12" deep. Because that was a great measurement for my space I didn't notice that the right side of the desk in the image says 19.75" which was actually correct. SO it's too deep and sticks out. Not a deal breaker but not really happy about that.It's awfully hard to know that the desk won't fit in other ways until you sit down. So I couldn't sit at it until it was built and boy oh boy is this desk messed up.The bottom is so low my legs barely fit under it in a small folding chair, forget about a desk chair. And forget about raising yourself enough to make the top of the desk the right height for your mouse arm. it's about 6" too high. Because I have to raise myself to have the mouse and the monitor at ergonomic heights there's no way I can fit my legs under the desk.This is a disaster in every way. OMG My neck. OMG my shoulder. OMG my knees.I'm so irritated. I should have just bought a cheap 48" long folding table. I feel like pitching this ridiculous table out the window or smashing it with a sledgehammer just to get my frustration out of my system. Working from home during the coronavirus and wasting my time and money just wasn't in the plans.Unless you have a really long torso and really short legs, this desk won't work for you.Soooooo disappointed.At the beginning I did have some issues with the desk not being exactly what I saw advertised but the seller was amazing! He/she took their time to reassure me and made the situation right so I ended up keeping the desk. With lots of help and all we managed to build it. I will say this desk will need some bumper padding to it if you have small kiddos around the home. I bought some and now it is great! There could be more storage and space but I guess it will do for now and works in small spaces!This is a nice, compact desk with great organization for a decent price. It seems pretty simple to assemble. Overall good value, decently sturdy desk. The legs seem ok, but I would've preferred thicker legs.But I did enjoy watching my dumb roomates take 2 hours to assemble it without me. I probably could've put it together in less than 30 minutes by myself.Got this to set up an office nook to work at home curing Covid19, and it's been perfect! Assembly took two of us, and we had to fix a minor error or two (we misunderstood instructions) with some extra construction adhesive we had on hand, but I love the size and layout of the desk. My laptop, monitor, and a lamp are perched up on the shelf, making it more ergonomic, and it's nice to slide a few office supplies and books into the nooks. Looks great in the corner of my bedroom.Really like this desk. There’s some things I’d do different which is having a hole in the back for cords but it’s still great for the value and love the books and crannies in it.This is a really cute desk with good construction for the price. We bought for my daughter who tends to be hard on desk and this one has worked out perfectly! It has held up to her much better than desk in the past and it is just so cute!Perfect for what I needed. This desk is not heavy duty but it is sturdy enough for me to pack up shipping orders for my small business. Great look. Easy to put together!
