I've been a fan of Zinus products since I purchased a mattress and bed frame from them several years ago. I've had zero issues with the mattress and the bed frame was replaced by them whenever it developed a small crack in the frame. Their support was very pleasant to work with!As for this desk, I was replacing a glass L-desk and wanted something that looked nice, was sturdy, and was capable of holding a monitor stand. I compared this desk to many others that look very similar to it on Amazon, but it was the Zinus name that convinced me to go with this one despite several very similar (and marginally cheaper) options.The desk is very well made for furniture at this price point. One of my pet peeves is paper or thin plastic wood texture veneer. This desk uses a textured plastic coating much like something you'd find on office or cubicle furniture. It has rounded plastic edges which mean that the coating is less likely to peel or deform around the sides after a few years. It is also not sharp against your wrist or arm after prolonged use. I believe the top itself is still a type of particle board core, but you wouldn't really be able to tell. Even the ten screw holes that attach the top to the solid frame are inset with a metal collar so that you're less likely to strip out the material.Assembly was super easy. The frame comes in four pieces and snaps together. After that, bolting the table top onto it ensures the entire thing stays together. Zinus even goes out of their way to include a ratcheting allen wrench to make assembly faster. The classic allen key is also supplied if you prefer that. After assembled, it is quite solid and I notice no vibrations channeling up my monitor arm while I am typing or gaming.My only complaints - and it wasn't enough to take off stars - was the condition of the packaging upon arrival. The desks themselves were packed well, but they looked like they'd been through the wringer during storage and transport. Both had several sizable holes in the cardboard where you could see internal packing material and desk surface. I was worried that this would seriously affect quality and maybe warrant return, but the damage to the items was very minor, all things considered. One of the desks has a couple small surface scratches/dents in the textured plastic top and the other needed a dent in the metal leg hammered out very slightly before it would lock in to place. All in all, it seems like a best case scenario after reading some of the stories from other reviewers on similar items.Was easy to assemble. No wabbleThis desk was SO easy to assemble! It is a solid, great looking desk! HIGHLY recommend getting one!I ordered two of these. Their frames are very sturdy and they are straight and square enough to line up sitting side by side. I really like them. So why not 5 stars? Well, the desk finish is very susceptible to fingerprint smudges and spots. Either they look kinda greasy all the time, or they need to be cleaned frequently with a wet cleaner. Also, the assembly, for building something that only takes screwing in 10 bolts, was ridiculously difficult and took over an hour for each, because 9 bolts would go in but the leg holes wouldn't be aligned to the top holes for #10. It took screwing in the 9 bolts like 1/2 a turn, and then using my full body weight to pull on the steel legs to put #10 into place, to assemble. And some cursing. But now that they're built, they look nice (excluding the fingerprint issue), and are super solid.Once assembled, this a very nice looking, very solid desk.The overall design seemed it would allow for a very easy assembly, however, one of the two under desk cross supports refused to just slide into any corner of the legs. It would go in about halfway and just jam up. I spent about 45 minutes fighting just that one connection, getting it back apart, and trying again with all openings on the legs that it could potentially slide into, but it was not going to happen. In the end i had to use a rubber mallet, along with a rubber block to hopefully not mar the metal's finish, to seat that end of the cross support. It took some serious pounding to make that happen and I imagine it'll require the same to disassemble should I ever need to. Aside from that, which was a rather time consuming hiccup, it's a nice desk.Great desk for the price. It's heavy duty and has a durable finish, but as others have stated it is extremely prone to fingerprints. Putting it together was extremely quick and easy. The 2 leg sections slide together to join the main frame and then 10 bolts attach the desktop to the frame. Some others have noted the holes don't line up perfectly but there is plenty of play in the frame to line them up as long as you don't tighten all the bolts until the end. 8 of the 10 bolts went right in and then I had to put a little pressure on the frame to get the last 2 to line up. From unboxing to finished product was no more than 15 minutes.This desk is super easy to assemble, but the joints look like someone's first welding project! There was even spatter from the welding on one of the table's legs. Besides that, it's quite sturdy and fingerprint-resistant.I had bed frame from zinus. It’s very sturdy. And I bought the office table and I’m satisfied on the table as well.
